At My Speech Hub, our speech pathologists offer one-on-one sessions to provide an individualised approach to your child's, loved one’s or your communication difficulties.

Initial Assessment

We offer assessment sessions that use a combination of informal and evidence-based standardised tests depending on your child's, loved one’s or your communication difficulties. Following assessment, we will discuss the therapy options.

Weekly Therapy, Tailored to Your Needs

At My Speech Hub, we offer predominantly weekly sessions although limited fortnightly sessions are available. Weekly sessions are preferred as evidence shows that most of our clients will benefit from more frequent therapy sessions rather than less frequent therapy sessions stretched out over a longer duration.

Some clients will only require a few sessions, however for clients with longer term goals, we offer therapy sessions in 11 week blocks that are aligned with school terms. This includes ten weeks of individualised therapy sessions and one review session at the end of each term. Review sessions include a discussion of therapy goals, progress and decisions about further assessment or therapy.

We understand that therapy is tough and at times, it may be appropriate to take a break. We take a consultative approach and listen to you, your child, and your family to achieve the best communication outcomes.

Small Group Sessions

At My Speech Hub, we also offer small group sessions to practice the communication skills learnt during one-on-one sessions. We offer a range of group sessions including:

• Pragmatic language skills groups for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

• Aphasia groups for adults following stroke

• Voice groups for adults with Parkinson’s disease

Commit to Your Therapy Plan to Achieve the Best Outcomes

Due to a high demand for our services we want to ensure that we can provide services in an equitable way. For this reason, clients who have three unexplained absences in a row may have future appointments cancelled so that the time can be offered to another client.
